The hostel
Casa de las Palmas started as a family project and still feels like one: three siblings running a hostel where the pool is the living room and the hammocks are the sofa.
There's a small gym for the restless, a bar for the sociable and Wi-Fi in the common areas for the ones who still have to answer emails. It is honest Wi-Fi: the best plan available here, and still at the mercy of the weather some days. Everything else — the jungle, the river, the border — is a few blocks away.
Getting here
We're in the Victoria Regia neighbourhood, four blocks from Parque Santander and one mile from Alfredo Vásquez Cobo airport. Flights from Bogotá take about two hours; from the river port you can cross to Tabatinga (Brazil) or Santa Rosa (Peru) in minutes.

Before you book
Our system takes bookings of up to <strong>4 nights</strong>: most of our guests stay a few days and we are not a long-stay place. If you want to stay longer, message us on WhatsApp or book directly at reception — or make two consecutive bookings.
Beds in shared dorms start at COP 40,000 per night; private doubles from COP 115,000 and the room with private bathroom from COP 140,000. Prices vary with the season — the booking engine always shows the final rate.
Yes. Our own agency, Amazon Experience Tours, runs one- to four-day trips with indigenous guides. You can book at reception or online; tours start any day with one day's notice.
Rooms are ready from 1:00 pm and check-out is until 11:00 am. If you arrive earlier or leave later, you can use the pool, the hammocks and the bar — luggage storage is free.
Yes — breakfast is included in the room rate and served from 7:00 to 10:00 am. There is also a bar with burgers and local fruit juices the rest of the day.
Book direct and pay the first night online to confirm; the rest is settled at check-in in cash, by transfer or card (5% surcharge on cards).
Almost everything is on one level: rooms, pool, bar and hammocks. To reach a few corners there are a handful of low steps and short wooden walkways, easy to cross. The only real stairs are the bunk ladders in the shared dorms — ask for a lower bunk when you book and you will not need them.
Yes, in the common areas. Be aware that internet in Leticia is not like in a big city: it has improved a lot in the last two years, but weather and infrastructure still knock it out some days. We pay for one of the best plans available.
